General Session Information

What

The Grief Assessment and Intervention training will provide information about the signs indicating when a student may need grief support following a crisis and how to determine the level/type of support needed. Trainees will also be provided with specific grief interventions when supporting grieving students, teachers, and parents.

Dr. Jacqueline Brown

Dr. Jacqueline Brown is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Montana and is a core faculty member within the School Psychology Graduate Programs. Dr. Brown’s research focuses on school-based crisis prevention and intervention, with a specialized interest in supporting grieving students. While Dr. Brown is a well-published author in this area, she has also delivered over 20 presentations related to school-based crisis prevention and intervention, including podcasts & facilitating PREPaRE trainings.
